Deburring of motor laminations
The 44 series is a bottom working machine with a front and rear feed table. Perfect for deburring silicon steel sheets of 0,3 mm up to 2 mm thickness. The length of the laminations should be minimum 350 mm and maximum 1300 mm. With an adjustable transport speed of 8 to 38 m/min, flexible operations are assured. This makes it possible to save energy during processes or, on the contrary, to increase output. All parts get cleaned from dust by a brush at the exit. The 44 series machine can also be integrated in an automated production line. Working multiple shifts is not a problem.
Laminations, what are they?
There are many words to describe the laminations. The most common ones are electrical steel laminations, silicon steel laminations and motor laminations. Electrical steel and silicon steel refer to the same material. You can find these metal laminations stacked in stators and rotors of an electric motor. The thinner the laminations, the lower the losses and the better the performance. A heat resistant coating is applied on both sides to insulate the sheets.
Why deburr electrical steel laminations?
These very thin sheets of less than 1 mm are cut by laser. Which is also why it has laser burrs after the cutting process. Burrs must be removed in order to prevent short circuit currents. Our Timesavers 44 series machine takes care of removing the imperfections around the edges, while the surface coating remains intact.
