Timesavers: Evolution of rotary brush grinding, deburring and edge rounding– use of robots allows enhanced automation

 As a result of more than 50,000 units in service Timesavers has become the synonym for global progress in the field of rotary brush machines.At this year’s trade fair for the sheet metal industry in Hanover for the first time the Dutch company Timesavers presents a combination of its state-of-the-art rotary brush machine WRBW42 and a robot: the workpieces to be deburred or edge-rounded pass the machine on a dedicated zone of the conveying belt; the robot identifies the parts, turns them and, for the final brushing operation, puts them on the opposite zone of the conveying belt.

Due to this combination, rotary brushing profits from an enormous gain of profitability – only loading and unloading of the WRBW42 remain to be carried out by the operator. Furthermore, the development increases the level of integration into fully automatic processing lines, as expected from the upcoming standard “Industry 4.0”.

No matter whether the parts are prepared by gas, plasma, laser or water jet cutting processes, whether they are punched or machined – flat or embossed – Timesavers’ brushing process guarantees reliable deburring and edge rounding: of steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminium – galvanized, coated, laminated, or even printed.

Other highlights at the booth are:
– Rotary brush machine 1350 WRBW 42 (eight rotary brushes, incorporated pre- and finishing belt (drums)
– Rotary brush machine 1000 WRBW 42 (a more compact version of the type 1350 with a width of 1,000 mm of the conveyor belt)
– 1050 MDMD from the group of type-32 machines featuring a new design (a particularly economical solution especially made for laser cut parts)
– 10th Series Manual Grinder (due to its manually changeable operation mode between abrasive disc and brush unit, the device is a cost-saving alternative to conventional machines)
