Attendance to the conference was excellent and the delegates enjoyed the variety of conference topics which included a number of commercial and economic presentations in addition to the techincal topics Stainless Steel Wolrd veterans are used to. Economic aspects, procurement and market trends were discussed and those with less technical knowledge on the subject of metallurgy were well-served by the Stainless Steel-The basics seminar on the Tuesday afternoon. On the expo floor, business was steady, with quality visitors from the end user industries in addition to the conference delegates who used the break times and drinks receptions to network with the exhibitors. Of course the local oil and gas and petrochemical industries were well represented, but as you can see from the photographs, there was also a significant international presence this year. Stainless Steel World would especially like to thank the Chairman, Ron Merrick and the sponsors for their help in making this event possible, and all the attendees for taking the time to enjoy what was the largest Stainless Steel World event in the USA to date.

This year, Stainless Steel World also organised a golf tournament as an additional networking opportunity. Those golfers who pre-registerd for the golf tournament had the pleasure of playing some of the USA's most famous golf holes, including the 18th hole at Doral, Florida; South Hampton, New York Shinnecock, which played host to four US Open Championships; the 12th hole at Augusta National Golf Club and many more. 76 golfers in total battled it out on the fairway for the title of reigning Stainless Steel World Champion!
